Fiberlinx Communications (“Fiberlinx”, “we”, “us”, “our”) values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to fiberlinx.ca, any subdomain, and all services we provide.

• Account & service signup: name, billing and service address, email, phone number, date of birth (for age verification), and identification details when required to provision internet or TV service.
• Payment information: credit-card or banking information processed by our PCI-compliant payment processors. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Customer support: communications you send us by phone, email, web form, or chat — including recordings of calls for quality and training purposes.
• Referral program: contact details of people you refer, only when you supply them.

1.2 Information we collect automatically

• Service usage: connection logs, IP address, modem MAC, bandwidth consumed, network diagnostic data — required to operate the network and troubleshoot.
• Website analytics: browser type, device, pages visited, referring URL, approximate location, time on site, scroll depth, and clicks. Collected via cookies and similar technologies.
• Advertising identifiers: Google Click Identifier (gclid), Microsoft Click Identifier (msclkid), Facebook Click Identifier (fbclid) when you arrive from an advertisement.

2. How We Use Information

• Provide, provision, and support your internet, cable TV, and home-phone service.
• Bill you, process payments, and prevent fraud.
• Communicate service updates, outages, billing notices, and (if you opt in) marketing.
• Measure marketing effectiveness, attribute customers to advertising channels, and improve our website and campaigns.
• Comply with Canadian legal obligations including CRTC and CASL requirements.

3. Cookies, Analytics & Advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies for security, session management, analytics, and advertising. The third-party services we use include:

• Google Analytics 4 — aggregate website analytics.
• Google Ads & Google Tag Manager — conversion measurement and ad delivery, including Dynamic Number Insertion for call tracking.
• Microsoft (Bing) UET Tag — conversion measurement for Bing ads.
• Meta Pixel (Facebook) — conversion measurement on Meta platforms.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Network and content partners required to deliver service (e.g., upstream carriers, TV-channel licensors).
• Authorities when required by valid Canadian law, court order, or to protect the safety of others.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Connection logs are typically retained for 12 months; billing records for 7 years as required by tax law; marketing analytics for up to 26 months.

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA and provincial statutes where applicable), you have the right to:

• Correct inaccuracies in that information.
• Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time.
• Request deletion of information no longer required for legal or service reasons.

7. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest where applicable, strict access controls, and regular reviews — to protect your personal information. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat every report seriously and respond promptly.

8. Children

Our services are offered to adults responsible for a household account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete the information promptly.

9. International Transfers

Some of our service providers (analytics, advertising) operate servers outside Canada, including in the United States and the European Union. Information transferred outside Canada is subject to the laws of the destination country. Service providers are bound by data-protection terms in their agreements with us.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated by email or a prominent notice on our website.
